What we do at Calm Hawk

Calm Hawk Atelier is an adult yoga studio on Pine Street in Tartu. We teach mat-based classes that respect busy schedules and honest bodies. Our teachers trained in Hatha and Vinyasa lineages but speak in plain language — alignment cues, breath pacing, and rest when you need it. We do not promise cures or medical outcomes; we offer consistent practice in a room designed for focus.

Morning sessions stay slower for stiff spines; evening classes build heat with longer standing sequences. Weekend workshops explore pranayama and seated mobility without turning the studio into a retreat centre. Every schedule block includes ten minutes of quiet arrival so you are not rushing from tram to mat.

New students receive a short orientation: where props live, how we signal rest, and what to expect from teachers when they offer hands-on adjustments. You may always decline touch. Our cork blocks, straps, and blankets are labelled in Estonian and English so nothing feels like a guessing game on your first visit.

Do I need prior yoga experience?

No. Foundations classes assume curiosity, not flexibility trophies. We demonstrate options for knees, wrists, and tight hips.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. The room is warm but not heated to extremes. Bare feet or grip socks only on mats.

Can I drop in?

Yes, when space allows. Members and pre-booked students take priority on full classes. Check the visit page for open spots.

Is this suitable for children?

Our programme serves adults. We do not run kids-first classes or birthday party sessions.
